Great Music Composer Naushad : Vol-1

Naushad Ali [25th Dec 1919 - 5th May 2006]

Naushad Ali was an indian musician. He was a great music director of his time. His first movie as a music director was "Prem Nagar (1940)". His first music success was "Rattan (1944)". He gave 35 silver jubilee, 12 golden jubilee and 3 diamond jubilee hits. He got Dadasaheb Falke Award in 1982 and Padma Bhusan in 1992.


Naushad was also a respected and published poet and formally launched his book of Urdu poetry entitled Aathwan Sur ("The Eighth Note") and the Navras label's album titled "Aathwan Sur – The Other Side of Naushad" having 8 ghazals as part of Hounslow's book fair and festival "Bookmela" in November 1998. The album has lyrics and composition by Naushad, are arranged by Uttam Singh.
